Kids Day Care

Mealtimes at The Blue Strawberry

The importance of delicious, nutritious snacks and meals cannot be stressed highly enough, especially for children.

A well balanced diet not only contributes to our overall health and wellbeing, it increases our energy levels and aids concentration. Good eating habits learnt as a child often stay with us for the rest of our lives.

We make sure that children have easy access to fresh drinking water at all times during the day. There are snack breaks in the morning and afternoon offering freshly prepared food, fresh drinking water and a choice of juice or milk. We also offer a good choice of freshly prepared food at lunch and teatimes.

Leamington Spa

Our very own in-house cook creates varied and healthy meals for the children and staff. We use fresh, locally sourced ingredients to prepare home cooked meals, to show the children how they can start to enjoy healthy food from a young age.

Our menus work on a four-weekly rotation, each of which is available below:

  • Week one
  • Week two
  • Week three
  • Week four

Cawston

Cawston is located on a primary school site and therefore children have the option of paying for a nutritious lunch served in the school hall for £1.85 per day. Please go to the Warwickshire County Council website to view a sample menu. http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/Web/corporate/wccweb.nsf/Links/0CC3ECAD1E1E05108025785400443A7C/$file/Primary+Standard+Nov+11.pdf Alternatively you may provide a packed lunch from home.

For those children staying with us all day and after school club there is an option to have tea at a cost of £0.60 per day. This is a light tea and not designed to compensate for their evening meal. See a sample menu.

Children with allergies, food intolerances or special dietary requirements can be catered for at both locations.
